Our Program
A Rites-of-Passage Sanctuary for Black Girls
Blueprint for Womanhood (BFW), a program of Life Paradigms, Inc., is a 12-week rites-of-passage journey designed to guide Black girls ages 13–17 through one of the most formative transitions of their lives.
Now in its 31st year, Blueprint for Womanhood offers culturally grounded, emotionally supportive experiences that help girls define who they are, understand where they come from, and begin shaping the lives they are becoming ready to live.
This is not a class.

embrace your transition journey
We work alongside parents, caregivers, aunties, grandmothers, and guardians who are seeking culturally grounded guidance for their daughters—support that goes beyond traditional school environments and speaks to the whole child.
Blueprint for Womanhood offers a community rooted in care, accountability, and self-respect, where girls are supported as they grow, question, and come into themselves—without shame, pressure, or performance. Our approach honors cultural heritage while creating space for emotional development, reflection, and belonging.
We believe transformation is strongest when families are informed, engaged, and supported alongside their children. When the village moves together, girls move forward with confidence.
a place to belong.
a space to become.
Girlhood today is loud, fast, and often confusing. Many Black girls are navigating questions of identity, body changes, social pressure, and cultural disconnection—without spaces that truly see them.
Blueprint for Womanhood exists to change that.
We offer a safe cultural home where girls are seen and affirmed, guided without being rushed, and supported by elders, mentors, and community. Here, they are encouraged to reflect, question, and grow—at their own pace, in their own way.
Becoming a young woman is honored here, not hurried.
Blueprint for Womanhood offers multiple tuition options to balance accessibility with sustainability.
