The Village

A Living Legacy

Blueprint for Womanhood began as a small circle—women gathering with intention, sharing wisdom, and creating space for Black girls to be seen and affirmed.

Under the leadership of Founder and Executive Director Fatimah Halim, that circle grew into a cultural institution that has shaped generations.

Hundreds of girls have passed through this work. Many now carry the Blueprint forward—as professionals, mothers, leaders, artists, educators, and community anchors. Their lives are living testimony to what happens when girls are guided with love, truth, and accountability.

This is not a program that ends.
It is a lineage.

Return to the Village

If Blueprint for Womanhood has touched your life—as a participant, parent, volunteer, or supporter—this is your invitation to return.

The village grows strongest when those who have received come back to give.

  • Share your lived experience, skills, and wisdom as a guide for the next generation. Mentors and instructors support girls through dialogue, example, and presence—helping them navigate identity, growth, and becoming with confidence and care.

  • Offer a workshop, lead a discussion, or contribute to a specific session aligned with your expertise. Guest facilitators enrich the journey by bringing diverse perspectives rooted in culture, creativity, and community knowledge.

  • Your journey matters. Alumni voices help current participants see what is possible beyond the program. Whether through written reflections, panels, or conversations, your story becomes part of the living legacy.

  • Support behind-the-scenes efforts that make the experience possible—from orientation and ceremonies to special events and gatherings. These roles are essential to sustaining the rhythm and care of the village.

  • The village is strengthened when each of us brings what we can.

Whether you have professional expertise, community connections, creative gifts, or resources to share, your contribution can help sustain and grow the work of Blueprint for Womanhood.

Every offering—big or small—helps nurture the next generation of girls as they grow into confident young women.
